The top slot at close gets the work. No shortlist round, no invisible tie-breaker — the board that everyone watched is the record.

Buyer: define the deliverable
A board only works if the task is closed-ended enough to be judged done. Vague scope is the failure mode this format cannot fix.
Seller: know your walk-away
Because the ordering is public, the ceiling is visible. Decide the number you stop at before you open the board, not while you are looking at it.
Both: the board is the record
Position, timing and price are all on the board. Disputes start from what it shows rather than from what someone remembers.
